Monsoon to advance into entire north #Konkan incl #MMR, more parts of Madhya Maha including Pune by 22-23rd June.

Showers and thunderstorms will begin from Sunday 21st, and intensify thru the week. Moderate #MumbaiRains to start Monsoon.

South Konkan Goa, south Madhya Maha to see good revival of Monsoon downpours from Monday, with moderate to heavy spells of rainfall 🌧️

Approx 4 day accumulation (Mon-Thurs) :
Goa, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri 200-300 mm
Raigad, MMR, Palghar 70-150 mm
Madhya Maha 50-150 mm

#PreMonsoon thunderstorms will increase for interiors too from Monday, with Monsoon onset over #Khandesh, #Marathwada and #Vidarbha likely during 25-27 Jun with fresh LPA moving in from Bay.

Farmers can begin sowing #Kharif crops by 25th June as good rains are expected statewide between 25 Jun to 5 Jul, so crop establishment failure risk is low.

However keeping in mind the erratic and below average rains this year, farmers advised to sow drought tolerant / low water demand crops like Jowar, Bajra, Ragi, Moong, Groundnut, Soybean.

@indianrightwing If he and his ethanol policy is not kicked out soon, 2026 to 2027 is gonna be one of the worst drought years for India. FYI, Sri Lanka collapsed due to agrarian failure caused by ban of pesticides, water dhortage can make be worse
