Never forget, Adolf Hitler is only considered the most evil man in history because his victims were white. On the barometer of evil men historically, he doesn't even crack the top 20.
Barring China I was checking comments of other nations mentioned and found that most of them are excited about Ramayana. It is one topic they can relate closely.
The Ramayana team must promote it in SEA nations massively. This is the best opportunity. Start from hiring film reviewers there. Let them talk about Ramayana movie, its grandeur and scale and how it is also their story. It will resonate among the masses.
one thing that will ALWAYS frustrate me is how we failed to reconnect with southeast asia.
india had centuries of deep cultural ties with that region. why didn't we leverage that??!
instead bollywood catered to middle east while neglecting southeast asia, china & japan.
such a massive missed opportunity, to connect with our culture sphere.
This was expected!
The Punjab Government has removed Gurpreet Singh Bhullar from the post of Amritsar Police Commissioner.
He is the officer who arrested eight people for plotting a petrol bomb attack on Jantar Mantar under the guidance of the ISI.
No doubt this news had busted the propaganda of CJP leaders who were against strong police security.
Indians themselves will never let the world respect us.
Anyone who tries to showcase our culture and identity is immediately dragged down by our own people.
#Ramayana
Before spreading a canard, @Jairam_Ramesh ji, please consider this:
1. Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) applies only on the merchants and not on the end users/customers. It will support the Banks & Fintech to invest more on infrastructure, innovation & security. All users of UPI will reap the benefits of this investment.
2. More importantly, the UPI and Services Steering Committee headed by NPCI is yet to decide on the MDR. This will happen after the Parliament passes the Taxation and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, which propses to amend Section 10A of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
3. All this could have been discussed on the floor of the House if your party @INCIndia engages constructively in Parliament when the Bill was/is tabled. (LS/RS respectively)
Trump seems to be living rent-free in your head!
While the US government has objected to India's UPI system in the past for allegedly treating American payment giants unfairly, USA has been whining about this exact issue since 2018.
India even banned Mastercard and Diners Club in 2021.
If New Delhi was actually subservient, they wouldn't have aggressively propelled our homegrown tech to dominate global digital payments over the last decade.
This legislative tweak merely gives regulators the bandwidth to eventually ensure massive corporate merchants pay for the immense server upkeep and cybersecurity they consume.
Blaming foreign boogeymen for a fundamental maintenance upgrade requested by local banks years ago is just lazy, sensationalist politics!
