According to him, the PS6’s bill of materials (BoM) is now nearing $1,000. This covers only hardware and manufacturing costs, excluding shipping, marketing, retailer margins, or taxes. Sony has a history of selling new consoles at little to no profit, or even at a loss, to keep launch prices affordable.

Jason Schreier reports that Bungie’s latest layoffs have affected most of the Destiny development team, some Marathon team members, and several Sony employees who worked with Bungie. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Hermen Hulst confirmed the layoffs, saying: “We have made the decision to reduce Bungie’s workforce, affecting a significant number of employees, including most of the Destiny team and some Marathon team members.”

Deborah Ann Woll has revealed that she has known about the upcoming God of War: Laufey spin-off since 2018, the same year God of War launched. Speaking to CGMagazine, the actress said, “He pitched it to me in 2018,” and added, “They had known about it before then.” That means she has been keeping the game a secret for almost eight years. Woll, who plays Faye, said the idea for the spin-off had been in the works long before fans knew about it. Developers have also said that Faye’s story was always an important part of the Norse saga.
