@GumballChowder@River_of_Heart You people are so over dramatic. I don't even hate the remake and actually like parts of it and some of the additions.
I can just understand context and can see they tried to make a sequel, failed, and mostly backtracked in Rebirth.
If you read the original thread, FFVII Remake constantly being pushed as a sequel by people has done so much damage to its branding that players either refuse to play it out of principal of it being a sequel or they advise new players not to bother with it because its not an entry point, its a poor sequel entry not worth their time. Not many people care about the new players when it comes to this game unfortunately because it absolutely is an amazing experience, different yes, but amazing nonetheless and is absolutely a great entry point into Final Fantasy and a great way to play the story of FFVII specifically in a modern production.
These games should make you excited to try out the OG and see the differences, because its a Remake told differently. It’s not forcing new players to know the OG and Compilation in order for them to understand what they are playing a sequel to.
There’s elitist OG player mentality in the fandom that cares little for the new players, and I don’t like it one bit, again check the original thread in this QRT to see what I mean
I won't have an issue with it, but the fact that the time jannies and all the arbiter of fate nonsense along with other details prove that its a sequel, regardless of what the developers state their intents are. Il
If anything, it proves they had no real clue what they wanted to even do with the remake.
@Taytorade1106@motokomakima Sounds like the devs are trying to save face. Its still a bait amd switch sequel that relies on the player knowing prior events.... like a sequel.
Lmao did we play the same game?
Even without the implications of Sepheroth being from the Orginal timeline and trying to rewrite history in his favor. events are altered, time ghosts doing what ever they do, and the whole Zach alternate universe plot plotline are proof that its a sequel disguised as a remake.
@Shredder1400 Because its a bait and switch sequel that adds unnecessary things that convolute the story. Like time travel, multiple universes, and time jannies.
There's only so much I can do. 99% of other Black people I try to talk to are long gone.
Karmelo needed life for what he did, and im disgusted that people are defending a murderer just because he's Black. But, look at how the hood works. They do the same thing when its Black on Black.
please look forward to

I play significantly less than I used to. Getting a couple if characters to master rank made me realize that this game has one of the most boring gameplay loops.
Im just tired of the drive system and lack of actual balance for the cast.
The roster isn't that great and because the gameplay is so homogenoized, its boring to play. Viper made It better for me, but she can only do so much.
