The mythical U.S. First Print sealed JAWS tape has been FOUND!

Early VHS prints of Jaws (1983) have sold for as high as $32,500, but according to our sources, no one has been able to find a true U.S. first print copy of Jaws from 1980 in VHS or BETA. Even unsealed copies are extremely rare, and a BETA CIB (unsealed) copy recently sold for $1,250 on Heritage Auctions.

VHS typically sells for a premium over BETA, however, in 2023, a 1980 first print BETA copy of Superman sold for $40,000 on Heritage Auctions.

Earlier this week, a unicorn was found, and the only known sealed 1980 U.S. first print of JAWS sold for $1,225 on @eBay.

Considering the sale prices of later JAWS VHS prints and also the Superman BETA first print, this could easily become one of the greatest sealed media purchases of 2024.

Grabbed a few Spider-Women #7. 1st appearance of The Assembly. I imagine folks go for the desirable Peach Momoko Secret Rare and flood the market with the cover A so these end up super cheap. Similar thing happening with all the Scottie Young Secret Rares this week.
