congratulations on turning the queer community into the target of a new wave of mockery and hate. congratulations on making a scene that was so painful and uncomfortable to watch that even the actor who performed it has talked about the trauma it caused, a scene that, due to how it was framed and placed in the story, inevitably became the subject of mockery.

you created a show about outcasts, about self-acceptance, freedom, and the courage to be yourself. and YET within that same story, you chose to treat the only main gay character with extraordinary cruelty. on top of that you placed his moment of coming out at a crucial point: right before the finale and at the very heart of the plot.

WHY? it was entirely predictable that this scene would be mocked, yet you went forward with it anyway. how it connects with entire buildup that was created within all these seasons?

after all the support the queer community has given this show over the years, it feels as that support was repaid by turning us into the punchline
