Big congratulations to @SusanKilgas, who won a Poster Presentation Award at the 20th International p53 Workshop | p53 Conference, which took place last week in Toronto!
Fantastic work! #p53biology
Congratulations to @SusanKilgas on receiving the first place Best Poster Award at the DNA Damage Mutation and Cancer Gordon Research Conference for her poster on a novel layer of p53 regulation through TIRR 🎉
New paper from the lab in collaboration with Unterholzner and Cejka groups. IFI16 protects stalled forks and is required for IFN-driven rescue of nascent DNA degradation.

My friend @tiffany_s_ma has a startup focussed on early detection of cancer - could you please take her survey?
It's gauging demand and ideas about early cancer detection kits: https://t.co/xZZQcvkqgg
What an amazing group we have for our 4th Exploring DNA Repair Pathways as Targets for Cancer Therapy Conference, here in sunny Malta! 🇲🇹
We have a busy day ahead packed with networking, presentations, poster sessions as well as an excursion to beautiful Valletta🌞😃

Sae2 promotes both endo- and exonuclease activities of the MRX complex. We show that they can be mutationally separated. K1299 in Rad50 only disrupts Sae2-dependent exonuclease. A collaboration with K Sugimoto and M Shinohara labs. Interesting phenotypes!

Very happy to share that my PhD/postdoc work has been published @NAR_Open. Turns out hypoxia-induced R-loops play an interesting role..!
Big thank you to my amazing supervisor @Hammond_Lab & to my wonderful co-authors @katroseworth@_bclaire_@DrAnnaMRose + those not on Twitter
It was a pleasure organising this conference with @AFieldingLab and the great @NorthWestCancer team. It was a great event, with excellent talks from across the country. Thank you to everyone who attended for making it a great meeting.
I had an absolute blast training this amazing group of scientists on biomedical image analysis.
Lots of engagement, questions, and food for thought.
Thanks for having us!! 😊🔬🖥
