Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu literally brought a Starlink terminal onto the UN stage today while talking about freedom of speech

Holding it up, Netanyahu said Iran’s rulers are afraid when their own people have access to Starlink because it gives them a way to exercise freedom of thought and speech

He then left the terminal with the president of the UN General Assembly to pass on to the Iranian delegation

Think about how important this is

Elon built a technology that connects people directly through satellites when terrestrial internet infrastructure is restricted or unavailable

Starlink has gone far beyond being just an internet service

The Prime Minister of Israel just held it up at the United Nations as a symbol of giving people access to information and a voice when governments try to control both
