I’m of the opinion that when a tragedy strikes (like a mass shooting), I’d rather protect the victims and their families, rather than the shooter and his/her sub genre.

I’m also of the opinion that an inanimate object used as a weapon is not responsible for evil actions. Getting rid of it, instead of treating the disease, will only cause the diseased to find another inanimate object to use as a weapon.
