i am not a solo stan, never have been, never will be. i'm also very happy with this album, esp for the 2 other members who barely got anything in previous albs.
nonetheless, that is not mutually exclusive to the issue of Jay having the least amount of lines in this album. like it or not, he is one of the two most vocally capable members, yet there’s a 38s gap between him and the top line-holder.
besides, his parts were leaked early, and cuz they were so captivating, it was really disappointing to realize those were basically all he got. ofc, this isn't about blaming any of the members at all, it's simply that Jay's vocals are being heavily underutilized bcz the company couldn't bother to make the songs longer. i deem these concerns pretty reasonable. so, if you don't have anything nice to say, like comparing BlueJays to evaneers, don't say it. everything Jay's earned is because of him and his initiatives, not bcz the company handed it over to him without a breaking a sweat.
