Radio stations are shutting down. Radio Nasha, Radio One, and Fever FM are just the beginning, and more will follow soon.
If the FM industry wants to save itself, it should just play songs with just a few sober ads in between. Nobody is interested in weather, traffic, or score updates, cringe jokes, loud ads, useless lectures, love guru preaching, and lousy pranks.
And most importantly, fire RJs. They are insufferable because they replace actual talent with screaming and fake energy. They talk at you in bizarre, plastic accents, laughing hysterically at their own terrible jokes and scripted prank calls that just bully ordinary people. When they aren't blasting obnoxious sound effects, they are lecturing you with cringey, copy-pasted life advice. They barely even play music anymore; it's just endless talking, ad plugs, and noise.
In a world with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Spotify, etc, their loud, fake, and preachy style is nothing but an auditory assault that makes you want to smash your car radio.
Champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal win for Team India in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no match for the explosive cricket played by us throughout the tournament. Brilliant character shown by the boys to keep fighting in tough situations and become world champions once again. Congratulations to all the players and all the members of the management for achieving this feat. Jai Hind 🇮🇳❤️
It is not just the UK. It is #Ireland too.
And the #UAE will not send its students to become hostages of Islamist jihadist ideology disguised as campus activism. Education is meant to free the mind, not imprison it inside hatred, intimidation, and fear. Universities were built to sharpen thought, not to dull conscience. Yet across British and Irish campuses, Muslim Brotherhood networks have turned lecture halls into echo chambers of extremism, where antisemitism is normalized and violence is intellectually laundered as resistance. When knowledge is hijacked, wisdom walks out.
The UAE once invested in these institutions believing in excellence, discipline, and merit. Today, too many have collapsed into spaces of riots, intimidation, and ideological recruitment. A society that tolerates extremism in its universities should not be surprised when it spills into its streets.
Governments in Britain and Ireland see what is happening. Silence is not ignorance. It is permission. When the state refuses to draw moral boundaries, chaos fills the vacuum. History teaches us this lesson again and again.
The UAE chooses a different path. We protect minds before they are poisoned. We safeguard students before they are radicalized. Caring for people sometimes means saying no, even when others look away.
A nation that exports graduates should not end up exporting rage. From these campuses now emerge agitators, propagandists, and extremists who seek to dominate councils, streets, and public discourse through intimidation rather than ideas.
In the UAE, clarity is law. Muslim Brotherhood ideology is banned. Antisemitism is a crime, not an opinion. Extremism is not activism. Wisdom begins where excuses end.
This decision is not driven by fear but by foresight. Not by isolation but by responsibility. Those who protect the future are rarely applauded in the present, but history always recognizes them in the end.

When I was preparing for my movie Rocketry, I got a personal experience of Modi ji’s extraordinary attentiveness. This was right after Uri had released and become a huge success. Modi ji was visiting Mumbai for an event at the, where a lot of people from the film fraternity had gathered. Everyone was eager to meet him and click pictures. I was there too — but not as myself. I was in full look of the great scientist Nambi Narayan ji, whom I was portraying as the lead role. With a big beard and full makeup, I genuinely doubted whether Modi ji would even recognize me.
To my absolute surprise, the moment he saw me, he said, “Madhavan ji, you look like Nambi Narayan. Has the shooting of the film started?” I was stunned. Here was the Prime Minister of India, burdened with the responsibilities of the nation and the world, yet he not only recognized me instantly but also remembered exactly what I was working on, despite my drastically different appearance.
That day, for the very first time, I took a selfie with him. Coincidentally, both of us had similar beards at the time. It remains one of my most cherished memories—because it showed me that @NarendraModi ji is not just a leader of vision, but a human being who notices, remembers, and values people in the most personal way. On your 75th birthday, wishing you the happiest birthday yet and praying for a Wonderful Happy and a Healthy year ahead for you.
@narendramodi. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Forget handshakes, the least the @BCCI could do was to donate the millions it has earned from the Indo-Pak match to the grieving families, of our martyred jawans and of the Pahalgam victims. But it chose instead to patronise us with hollow words that carry no weight.
My views:
A govt school teacher teaching folk dance to kids in a village ☺️☺️
Coordination, rhythm and steps of Our Indian folk dance are much better than Salsa & HIP Hop 👇🏽
Dear Arnab Goswami,
