Once again Islam comes up with an excuse. This time it’s an injury.
I always knew I would be part of the White House event. Even when the UFC told me at one point that they wouldn’t count on me for the event, I knew it was part of the negotiation.
When they finally told me I would be on the White House card, they mentioned Islam and I didn’t hesitate for a second to accept the fight.
Even though the fight hadn’t been officially confirmed yet, the White House card was going to be announced the next day. And when I woke, I found out that Islam had gotten injured.

The most eye-opening part of this week was seeing example after example of people celebrating the cold-blooded murder of an innocent man. A man whose entire identity was built around platforming anybody in respectful debate. I kept thinking to myself that maybe its my algorithm? Maybe as a moderate conservative, it was my confirmation bias? Maybe I'm in an echo chamber? Surely there cannot be that many people who are ok with this type of violence and murder, right? Americans are better than that. Maybe it's a small percentage of people and the message is just getting amplified?

Nope, it was none of that. In fact, it's worse than that.

It is that one quarter of people who are very liberal actually think that violence is justified to achieve their political goals. That is sick. That is wrong. If this is your belief system, you are losing your humanity if it isn't already gone.

One out of every four people who are very liberal are saying out loud that they are willing to physically attack or kill others to achieve their political goals. 25%! I can't get over that. And I cannot just sit back and not speak out against it. It makes me physically ill thinking about it.

I can walk to the location where Charlie Kirk was shot. On Thursday, the day after he was assassinated, the most liberal of my coworkers spoke out in our morning all-hands meeting. She said we had to be careful of retaliation. She was planning on staying at home the rest of the week because it wasn't safe. She told us it was likely that conservatives would seek revenge, that those conservatives in Utah have high gun ownership, and that it was certain the violence wasn't over.

The only things that happened were vigils. No rioting, no looting, no retaliation, no violence.

Why?

The data are clear. Conservatives don't believe they can justify violence to achieve political goals. It's a 10x difference between very liberal and very conservative on this issue.

Liberals, by their own admission, embrace the ideology of violence and justification of violence. I'm disgusted.
