This is today’s England. A head says: “We’ve got families sofa surfing with nowhere to live, children living in a house with boarded-up windows, children who have been to someone else’s house &been amazed that they were given tea,” https://t.co/AJjY9fQEny

@sallypally99 @KeepEYsUnique We are all constantly up against extremely difficult challenges and do not want to be made to feel guilty when pressing on through the minefield that is early education at the moment. We are doing what we think is right for OUR children, not a one size fits all!
@sallypally99 @KeepEYsUnique I echo the point above that I have always respected your opinions and am usually in complete agreement Whilst I still respect opinions I feel knocking something that can only support S&L delay and someone else's practice that you have not seen or understood firsthand is unfair
@sallypally99 @KeepEYsUnique I have time and time again witnessed the excitement, joy and positive responses from children throughout these activities delivered by a experienced practitioner who knows her children well and passionately wants the very best for them.
@sallypally99 @KeepEYsUnique Also in response to point 5, this is a colleague of mine and a very valued practitioner, highly regarded by staff, parents and children alike. To insinuate that she or anyone else within our setting would ever deliver anything detrimental to our children is extremely upsetting!
We're making the last 12 issues of the Early Education Journal free to access for all of April to support the professional learning of practitioners and students currently restricted by social distancing. Enjoy!

My self-isolating Year 11s FaceTimed their mates so they could participate in the lesson today. I taught a class of humans and phones - which were propped up against the box of highlighters at the front of the room.
❤️
Very inspiring day- key messages keep ‘play’ firmly on the agenda! Children only have one childhood! Let them be children- when making decisions about what you think is right for them remember they are 2! or 3! or 4! Or 5! 😊 thanks @GregBottrill@canigoandplay &@plantingseeds
Here is our @ParklandsLeeds#CrisesPlan in the event of a school closure. Hopefully it won’t come to it. The children will be fed daily and food hampers provided. EVERYCHILD will be spoken to and have work set by their teachers . Together we will be strong
