The biggest struggle I grew up with:
Figuring out what I wanted to do in life.
Being raised in an asian household (i'm filipino),
I was raised around such high expectations.
• Getting good grades meant success.
• Making lots of $$$ meant success.
• Working in the medical field meant success.
To be honest with you, I was none of these things.
I got decent grades to help me graduate.
I started DJing high school parties to make money.
I even wanted to pursue a pro soccer career.
So, what's the whole point of sharing this?
If you know me,
One of my biggest aspirations is to inspire others.
Whether that's my content, spaces, brand, etc.
I've always wanted to help the next person.
More specifically,
💫 I want to see others chase their dreams.
I KNEW I didn't want to be a nurse or doctor,
So I took up music for years and now I'm in web3.
I WASN'T the best at school,
So I learned how to hustle and build relationships.
I SUCKED at making money,
So I started learning high-value kills to monetize.
The moral of the story is:
Don't let society shape you.
You truly only live once, and so why waste it?
Take that risk, make that leap, move out of your city.
The worst risk is taking no risk 🧱
I have come to realize that I've found myself in an industry with some of the lowest and highest IQ people on the planet.
This is why it's so polarizing.
