Yesterday a colleague who I’d never met before noticed my pronoun badge and started ranting to me about her transitioning grandson. She used his old pronouns despite telling me he uses he/him, said she thought it was due to his SA several years ago + autism 1/

I really don’t know what to do if this situation arises again. I felt so uncomfortable having this conversation with a stranger without my permission. If anyone has had any experience with this please let me know how you deal with it because next time I want to do better

I felt like I’d been identified as a young snowflake doc and she was trying to prove to me how it’s all a load of lefty rubbish. I feel guilty that I didn’t stand up for her grandson in the way he deserved - I used his correct pronouns but apart from that didn’t challenge her. 3/

1/3 cases done!! 2 slices of toast, a big coffee and these bad boys 😎 didn't feel faint!! Definitely felt sick for a lot of it though. I'm not really grossed out by blood or gore so is this some kind of subconscious reaction, or just that I've stuffed myself with toast? 🤷🏻‍♀️

@georgiakirby22 I'm very lucky! It's built into our responsibilities - it's a small team so we're actually required to assist for ops to go ahead. Great to feel useful but less good if you are a delicate little flower like me lol
