@YOHAMI humanity is God’s comedy central
he just watches and laughs at all the stupid shit we do
but look at the bright side
he made us in his image, right?
so if he can laugh, you can laugh
life is a joke
laugh
i read a few parts of the book
getting in touch with your content, overall, played a significant part in this
i first thought of your posts as interesting
but clearly disagreed with a bunch of stuff
i was in the so called wise bg frame back then
“passing judgement”, “doing what i want” read as something ego-centered
that went against everything i believed in
i found the “treat your thoughts like you treat women” thing funny though and it clicked
created my own version of it: “stop nagging and go clean the house”
and i would laugh at it and actually go clean the house
i eventually realized my thoughts didnt matter
if my thoughts dont matter no one’s thoughts matter either
same thing for feelings
then i started to realize that some many things i did were just me trying to satisfy expectations of others
i would be worried about how they would feel if i did (or did not do) this and that
i would worry about what they were thinking
so pathetic, right?
what i think and feel doesnt matter
why do i care about what this person thinks or feels?
then it hit me “what do i want?”
then i got it
someone asks for help and i say “no, i dont want to help you”
no justifications needed
“justifications”… so pathetic
why do people keep justifying things?
i will provide justifications only if i have some very special reason
when you begin walking out of the “worry about what other people think and feel” prison cells (and there are many layers of them) you start figuring out what you want
and it isnt really an egotistical thing
the ego was actually the thing that worries about others
“i will help this person because i want to”
“you did this for him, can you do it for me too?”
“no, i dont want to help you”
“you are so mean, never talk to me again”
“alright, that is your problem, farewell”
and then, at this point i finally got the judgement part
i even joke: “I was made in the image of God, right? Then, if God judges, I judge”
“I am the God of my own universe”
a few years ago i realized that we are all in hell
we all spend our lives building and enhancing our own prison
it’s actually some sort of a complicated multi-layered prison cell
so, a cell, within a cell, within another cell and so on
but you know what’s funny?
the doors of each cell are open
you just have to walk right past them
but it hurts like hell to walk past them
so you get back straight into the cell
it is so safe and comfortable
i realized this
and kept trying to walk past the first door
i could never withstand the pain
until, after so many attempts, i finally did walk past it
back then i thought that was the only door and that i was free
it took me a while to realize that my newfound freedom was actually a more sophisticated cell
guess what? the door was open and it was now easier to withstand the pain
it was still hard though; procrastinated and attempted many times
walked past it again, finally
now it is getting increasingly easier to leave these cells
that being said, i dont think i am “there” yet
but i am getting close
i can feel it
recently i began getting into this state
and it’s been happening pretty frequently
i am fully present, in the moment
no stupid thoughts clouding my judgement
i dont give a fuck about what i think or feel
i care even less about what other people think or feel
i know what i want
i see opportunities and instinctively know what to do to get what i want (openings?)
i also instinctively know what i should not do that would drive me away from what i want (walls?)
