Sarah Wairimu Cohen thought she would murder billionaire Tob Cohen, get away with it and become this wealthy woman. Since then she spent 3 years at Lang'ata Women Prison 2019-2022 before DPP withdrew the murder charges in late 2022 to pursue a public inquest instead, allowing her to be released.

The case took a dramatic turn when the current DPP reviewed the file, cited new evidence, and ordered her re-arrest. She was taken back into custody on January 24, 2025. She has been in remand for 1 year 5 months now. She was denied bail due to concerns over witness interference.

Yesterday she was pleading with the court to at least allow her withdraw some money from the bank and visit her house, which is the crime scene.

Prison is probably the worst place on earth. Nothing is more valuable than freedom, and you only truly understand that when it's taken away. Every day must feel like a reminder of that one bad decision or a moment of bad luck.
