Random football post. Bellingham is the closest thing we have ever had to Zidane. And in some ways even better. Gerrard and Lampard were never this good.
Found another one.
Yes, “Soccer” is the most popular bc of cost and ease of access. This also means to make it to the top you’re competing against the largest pool of competition in the world.
1 in 2,900 make it to the NFL
1 in 530,000 make it to the NBA
1 in 1,200,000 make it to the Premier League
Different stratospheres in terms of competition, skill, and athleticism required to make it, and you sound like a racist idiot trying to claim otherwise.
The reason soccer is "the world's most popular sport" is that it's the cheapest one.
All you need is a ball. That burned out car over there is one goal and that dumpster over there is the other.
You don't need any equipment. You don't even need shoes. Kids with no hands can play soccer.
Most of the best players seem to be from Third World countries where they live in mudhuts and wear Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl Champions shirts every day.
Stop talking to me about what a beautiful, sophisticated game it is. It isn't. Yes, there are plays. There are plays in every sport. But football, basketball and baseball are far, far more sophisticated and require greater skill and athleticism than soccer, and you people sound like idiots trying to claim otherwise.
⚪️⚫️ Never in doubt: Álvaro Arbeloa, Fulham head coach until June 2029.
He’s ready for new chapter and accepted to return to work immediately after leaving Real Madrid. 🇪🇸

If you need constant gratification/excitement every minute you’re a toddler and simply don’t understand the game.
True Football nations blame the team when they lose, American attack the sport. Happens every time.
the reason why soccer’s not a thing in america is because its entertainment payoff distribution has a mode near zero.
you can sit through 90 min & the modal outcome is nothing fucking happens. american sports solved this with guaranteed event frequency… e.g. baseball gives you a discrete resolution every ~30 sec, & american football every play. the floor is high even when the ceiling is low.
while soccer is a lottery ticket.. you occasionally get mexico/england, otherwise you get the snoozefest that was portugal vs spain.
Creo que es el futbolista más total que he visto en mi vida. Domina absolutamente todos los registros. Defensa, pase, velocidad, disparo. Es un jodido experimento genético.
Portugal were the worst coached team in the competition for my money. You could have done literally nothing and gotten more out of that super squad.
Incredible self sabotage.
