@learnteachtech A12: student engagement and building relationships are missing from this text. In the article we read, Marzano says not to get caught up in just these nine, there is so much more out there.#csp554
@learnteachtech A10: don’t know that any are more important. A good teacher uses a variety of strategies to reach a variety of students. There are more strategies then these nine.#csp554
@learnteachtech A7: This is a big struggle. I can give immediate feedback in a lab setting but as we move towards more standards tests on the computer there isn’t much room for feedback except an instant grade.#csp554
@learnteachtech A6: We have a lot of cooperative learning groups. They have lab planning to do, a job rotation chart to follow, and must complete their job during the lab. Students will let me know when someone is not doing their part. #csp554
@learnteachtech We had a Masterchef competition in my 8th grade classes. Students made their dish, shared it with the judges to see if they earned all the points to get a Michelin Star. It was very fun!
@learnteachtech As a project based class we try to stay away from notes but when we do have to take them (and there is a lot of value in writing things down) I keep it simple. I have used Cornell notes or making a small booklet to take notes.
@MsJennaOBrien I enjoy having students do this too. Sometimes students need to talk it through. I don’t always have to hear it all either. Having just a few share is good.
@learnteachtech I try to use graphic organizers when giving ant kind of notes to keep students engaged and interested. I feel students retain more when they can visualize the information.

A6: in our school, the use of tech is not forced...encouraged yes. Some dept are more tech savvy than others but the issue is not forced. Reluctant teachers can witness the good in technology.
