It doesn’t end there . They then siphoned $35 million from child welfare funds in order to run ads opposing the same abortion and weed ballot initiatives. Uthmeier said it was “his moral duty” to oppose these citizen led ballot initiatives

All should face legal action

In a normal state, the attorney general would prosecute.

So apparently if everyone pretends they have no memory, you can illegally use taxpayer dollars any way you want. This was the ACTUAL rationale for not holding anyone accountable for stealing (er, “misappropriating”) $10 million in FL taxpayer money: “Despite our finding that the money was misappropriated, we find insufficient evidence to charge anyone criminally, Nobody will take responsibility for deciding the $10 million of taxpayer money would go to Hope Florida… or had any memory of who made it. We recognize that this would be an impediment to criminal prosecution. While we can't prove who is responsible, we can plainly see that taxpayer money was misused for political purposes and we would like to see changes made to prevent this from happening again." — Just pathetic. Embarrassing for the state of FL.
