It appears Home Secretary @YvetteCooperMP is "managing" the release of information on the Southport murders. One of my followers who is a former police officer blows the whistle.

"Hi David, I just read your recent post regarding Merseyside Police managing information etc. This is exactly what happened when I was in South Yorkshire Police, with reference to the Rotherham Muslim grooming gangs.

"Thankfully, I served many years in Doncaster, so never worked in Rotherham, so had no dealings/involvement with the grooming gangs.

"However, I do remember one briefing where we were told not to inflame community tensions by not openly discussing the perpetrators were Muslims. No one, including our Inspector or sergeants, agreed.

"This was a directive from the then Labour Gov't. There were & still are, a lot of good cops out there who are sick of being used & abused by politicians.

"It's a disgrace that this management of information is still going on across each & every force. I'm sending this as a DM as I can't afford to get into any public debate.

"I admire your work, thank you for what you do.

"Kind regards".
