You can vehemently disagree with Palestine Action activists goals, whilst simultaneously be horrified a judge can decide AFTER a conviction if it was terrorism related amd double a sentence.
Being able to class an offense as terrorism AFTER conviction without charging them with terrorism should bother everyone.
Any protest action that is now determined as trying to "change government policy" can have this applied.
So today it's Palestine Action, but next it'll be immigration protests, farmers protests, NHS, tax etc etc.
Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury
On 12th June -10am–5pm.
After never having been charged with - & never having been found guilty of terrorism - Pro-Palestine activists will be sentenced for terrorism.
A first in UK history.
Please RT this until this travesty of justice is ended.
Thank you.
Israeli military reporters say 55 towns and villages in south Lebanon will remain occupied by Israeli troops. The Lebanon ceasefire agreement will impose a ‘yellow line’ similar to Gaza. Those civilians will not be permitted to return to their homes cut off by the ‘yellow line’ - ‘and the IDF is authorized to continue destroying terror infrastructures in them even during the ceasefire’, according to the Israeli reporters who were briefed by the military
I have not seen a single mainstream media outlet give this the attention it deserves.
Israel blew up an entire Lebanese town, an ancient place. It should be headline news. There’s footage of it happening.
Imagine this was your town, and you saw every building blown up by a terrorist army to prevent you from ever returning. You would at the very least expect wall to wall coverage. Instead it passes without a word.
It’s not the only town Israel has blown up. And sadly it probably won’t be the last.
We’ve been in Marjayoun - the mainly Christian town in south Lebanon - which has been told by Israeli military not to give sanctuary to their Muslim neighbours fleeing the surrounding villages being bombed by Israeli jets. Human rights gps call it ethnic cleansing. Israel claims it’s getting rid of Hezbollah militants endangering citizens across the border. Full report on Sky News YouTube and insta
Here’s Rory Stewart talking a lot of sense about the Iran war:
“We need to get out immediately. Every day this continues, it gets closer to a global economic meltdown and closer to a much bigger conflict and the beginnings of a third world war.”
Every journalist should be reporting the facts, as Jeremy Bowen just did on the BBC:
🚨 This is a war of choice, not a 'pre-emptive' war
🚨 It's against international law
🚨 Trump and Netanyahu don't care about that
🚨 It threatens the security of the world
Just read up on Bilal Fawaz. Feel a bit stunned and sad at his past. Couldn’t believe his age and what he’s been through. I hope he gets his British passport. Well done on the win 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
Bilal Fawaz, 37, is a Nigerian-born boxer who overcame trafficking to the UK as a teen, abuse, and statelessness. He turned pro in 2022 after amateur success. Tonight, in the co-main event of Wood vs. Warrington 2 in Nottingham, he defeated Ishmael Davis by majority decision to win British & Commonwealth super-welterweight titles—his career-best display.
@Sam_Knight18 Or when he had the Liverpool skyline behind him on a roof but was back in London 2 minutes later!
Or that it didn’t rain once during their Manchester scenes 😂
While US developers have been trying to sell Gaza real estate as a ‘peace’ plan - ‘nearly 500 people have been killed since the ceasefire has been in place, among them more than 100 children according to @UNICEF.’ - @UNLazzarini
