@brmorris@Tim23788411@NoSup4u@kkdumez Micah 6:8 calls 4 us 2 "Do justice"... "Doing" is action. Justice is NOT vengeance. Setting boundaries & self defense is not retaliation. Holding others 2 account is NOT revenge. It's not about harm or retribution, but correction & with hope, restoration. That's my take & 2Âą
Halle Berry on her âCrime 101â character being age-shamed for being 53:
âAs women, we have to reclaim the narrative that weâre not done at 50, 60, or 70. We have so much more to offer.â
Too many people have been fed the rhetoric that if you break the law, you no longer have human rights. This rhetoric is not only categorically false, but also morally wrong & incompatible with Christianity.
The vast majority of immigrants in America have not broken the law & have no criminal record, and the ones who have broken the law still retain their human rights. No matter where any of us stand on immigration policy, we cannot accept solutions that deny people their human rights, and itâs our duty to demand that our government do better. @skyejethani đïžHoly Post 699

Preaching the gospel without practicing the Sermon on the Mount damages the witness of the church.
"When those claiming the truth of Jesus reject the way of Jesus, it accelerates our culture's movement away from experiencing the life of Jesus."

This is Yosef Kogan. When I saw the video, I knew he was not raised in America. No U.S. dad now expects his son to excel in both sports and music. Nope! That was normal for my Gen X world. Every boy on my street did both. Why do parents today not pair sports with music?
Some want to keep immigration out of the Christmas story. But for generations, Christians have connected the Holy Familyâs flight to Egypt with the experience of refugees.
"Critics of the refugee analogy have to find a way to separate the jostled Jesus, quickly scooped up and carried to a foreign locale, from other startled children forced to abandon all they know. They want to convince us that these people are different and do not deserve the kind of compassion due to Mary and Joseph...but eyes are not so easily closed."

Designating a certain political party as the "Christian party" or a political leader as "chosen by God" sets people up to justify whatever they do because it's "what God wants." This is why it's so crucial that our faith informs, but is not conflated with, our politics. @skyejethani, đïžHoly Post Podcast 700
