Pallikaranai sad state of affairs -16 years after starting UG Sewerage project , it is still under trial commissioning. Govt has failed to address these basic civic issue & officers are taking residents for ride . @pallikaranaii@mkstalin@CHN_Metro_Water@CmcellTamilNadu
Pallikaranai Marshland turned into a massive dumpyard. A natural flood buffer, a home for numerous species, reduced to garbage with disastrous smell. The entry road to Chennai's most important IT hubs deserves better. #Savepallikaranaimarshland
Will it be recovered again?
Residents of Perungudi and Thuraipakkam will be laughing out loud if they get to read to this. The stench of this dumpyard is only getting worse by the day.
The garbage pile also seems to be increasing, with no visible reduction.
#Pallikaranai roads are the safest !!!
No chance of Road rage at all. One can never drive above 20kmph even with super bikes on Pallikaranai stretch of Velachery-Medavakkam road.
Blessed 🙌
@chennaicorp - almost 15 years now Pallikaranai has merged to Chennai Corporation,
Is there any other reason why there is no Drainage / sewage connection?
But you are expecting has to pay sewage tax ?
Can some one answer ?
@S_AravindRamesh
@jvidyasagar@Tnsdma_cpt@S_AravindRamesh@ThamizhachiTh This horror will continue until we have integrated drain discharge network for the entire city and no government is interested to implement this. Not sure if the departments have topo plan for entire city to start with addressing this issue.
@pallikaranaii@chennai_Highway Hey there are still internal roads like IIT colony 2nd main road, and few other places there are patches that need to be resolved. Especially the road in IIT colony 2nd main road where there is a water tank it’s really bad and also water tanks are parked overnight
It all started with a tweet. Now Velachery–Medavakkam (Pallikaranai) road and many other roads are finally being restored. 🙏
This is the power of collective voice — when citizens @jvidyasagar, media, and authorities come together
Thanks to @omjasvinMD@anaghakesav@Akshita_N
Madam @ThamizhachiTh, while your efforts are appreciated, please remember that you are the MP representing this area. Action should be proactive, not reactive. Have you observed the current state of the #Velachery - #Tambaram road? Is it really easy to commute? Just imagine the lakhs of professionals who travel through it every day. Please look at larger picture and struggles of residents. Thanks for attention to this matter. #Velachery
