A man has been charged with killing his former partner Georgina Ward, after she took her own life, in Dudley in 2020. Daniel Birtwistle has been charged with manslaughter, two counts of controlling and coercive behaviour and three counts of assault.

He has also been charged with a further six counts of assault and one count of controlling and coercive behaviour in relation to another three women.
The family said their lives had been "changed irrevocably" by the death of someone who was "beautiful, inside and out".
A huge milestone and a true example of what can be achieved by working collaboratively. The development of national standards will help to support the model and the prevention of domestic abuse related deaths. Thank you to all who have helped get to this point.
A Bill to help prevent domestic abuse-related homicides & suicides has been passed by @ScotParl.
The Criminal Justice Modernisation & Abusive Domestic Behaviour Reviews Bill will introduce a review process when such deaths occur so lessons are learned.
