The last person everyone should add to their PLN is Paul Solarz! He posts a lot about his book “Learn Like a PIRATE”, in which he creates many chats (#LearnLAP). These chats and his book are all centered around better and more holistic teachings, through EdTech.

He creates spaces where teachers can reach out to each other for help. He also offers advice to teachers struggling with getting students motivated, and offers new ways to look at teaching.

They discuss how to use the handwriting feature on google docs so that you can do math on it when you need to. I found this very interesting! These two together are a great duo, they provide so much support and knowledge that is so easy to understand.

Two great people that spiked my interest in EdTech are Sam Kary and Thom Gibson. Sam is the founder and CEO of the New EdTech classroom and Thom is the creative director. (@NewEdTechClass) They add important tools that are easily accessible by anyone, such as the math app

She emphasizes that most tools parents often think are just for fun, such as Minecraft, are Twitter, valuable tools and resources for children to learn about the Revolutionary War.

If you want to learn more about EdTech and Edu collaborators, Lindy Hockenbary (@lindyhockenbary) is an excellent resource. She posts on Twitter often about upcoming events in the education field that teachers, parents, and students might all be interested in.
