In close collaboration with a local production company, the U.S. Embassy is highlighting Haitians who lead with courage, creativity, determination, and resilience.
The real Haiti, beyond the challenges portrayed in the media, are people building, creating, and pushing the country forward every day.

These stories are just a few examples of the many young leaders across Haiti who are making a difference, strengthening their communities, and choosing progress. They show the power of education, service, discipline, and accountability. Haiti’s future belongs to Haitians.

We would like to first introduce you to Vicky Onelien’s, a street artist who refused to let chaos dim her colors. After finding inspiration from international female artists, she decided to transform the walls of her own backyard and community into a canvas of peace and positivity. Hier, un père de famille, employé de Barbancourt, a tragiquement perdu la vie lors d’une tentative de kidnapping.

La Fondation Barbancourt accompagnera sa famille dans cette épreuve.

Ce drame met en lumière une réalité insoutenable : celle d’un pays où l’insécurité, l’absence de protection et le manque d’infrastructures médicales fragilisent chaque jour davantage les familles haïtiennes.

Face à cette douleur, nous réaffirmons notre engagement à agir, avec humanité, solidarité et responsabilité, aux côtés de ceux qui portent le poids de ces tragédies.
