Last week, our Dementia at work team were excited to attend the first ever Working With Dementia Network Plus #Conference.
They heard from people living with #dementia and working #carers about the challenges they face in the workplace. Learn more about our Dementia at work programme here: https://t.co/CO0l7uVin3 @viclyons
On my way to #Rewired2026.
Big focus this year on AI, data & digital transformation across the NHS - from triage to integrated care.
But I’m holding onto one question:
👉 What are we actually trying to fix and for whom?
Because tech only matters if it changes something real.
Mother’s Day can be joyful - but for many of us it’s also complicated.
Caring for children while also supporting an ageing parent is the reality of the sandwich generation.
I shared a little of my own story here 👇

If you’re balancing this too, I see you. You’re not alone. 💜
If you’re living this right now, how are you today?

Today celebrates women.
Every day should value them.
International Women’s Day is not about being above anyone else - it is about women knowing their own strength, their own voice, and their own worth. #InternationalWomensDay2026
@okaythen2828@BRITs I couldn’t work out if it was staged or real due to security reactions which seemed very real! Still a legend in the making and a great way to promote your new album 💜
As the sun sets on this year, I want to pause and say thank you to everyone who inspired me along the way.
To those who worked with me, collaborated, shared wisdom, and offered guidance — I’m truly grateful.
And to everyone who encouraged me to keep going, and to keep striving for a world where no one faces dementia alone — thank you for believing in that vision.
Wishing many merry moments in 2026 to old friends, and to the ones I’ve yet to meet
“Three conversations can change everything:
🏠 Where will you live?
🤝 What care would you accept?
💷 How will it be funded?
The Age Space campaign is about planning early and reducing stress.
Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses are here to help every step of the way.

Really looking forward to speaking at Dementia Congress today
I’ll be joining 1 panel on technology in dementia, exploring how innovation can improve people’s lives, and I’ll also be speaking about post-diagnosis support and Admiral Nursing. #Dementia https://t.co/wAOFP4Vhca
@AmazonHelp I don’t want to return anything, however will not be able to shop Christmas gifts with you (nor will other) if you send them all out with no packaging at all!
Whilst I do agree with unnecessary packaging, a complete lack of packaging can only lead to 2 things
a) a surprise/ gift ruined (as it was in my house today)
b) door step treasure for someone
@AmazonUK@amazon if you want people to Christmas shop with you, you may want to rethink this
And as a mum of two teenage boys, it’s hit me right in the feels.
The song, the story, the emotion, it’s all there.
A reminder that music connects generations, heals, and holds us together.
Beautiful work, @JohnLewisRetail 👏✨
#JohnLewis#JohnLewisChristmas25 👏✨
The new John Lewis Christmas advert is just wonderful 🎄✨
It captures something so powerful - the way music can reach deep into our brains and hearts, transporting us back to moments we thought we’d forgotten… and then connecting us so beautifully in the present.

As a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, I often talk about how music can awaken memories, emotions, and relationships - even when the words are lost.
This advert shows that perfectly.
It’s a reminder of how sound and story can unlock what’s tucked away in the heart. ❤️🎶
@Annagoge I am currently hiding in my bedroom like a teenager when I should be cooking dinner!
Mother in law not having a good evening, I am not feeling well and youngest son is not feeling well either - the struggle/ juggle is going to take a bit of showing up for this evening. 💜
Being a sandwich carer is hard.
Mine’s not even a sandwich - it’s a club sandwich.
Caring for my mother-in-law with dementia, working full-time, and raising a 15 and 12 year old.
To every carer juggling as best you can, I see you.
You’re not failing.
You’re doing the impossible, every single day and showing up as best as you can.
