Here is the spokesperson for the Israeli military back in February, putting a target on the back of Al Manar correspondent Ali Shoeib and Al Mayadeen correspondent Fatima Ftouni.

The Israelis killed them last night, along with Fatima's brother, Mohammad Ftouni, a photographer. They are not denying they did so, and are claiming they killed Ali because he was reporting in the south, a war crime of the highest order. They have not even bothered to present a justification for assassinating Fatima, though this post makes clear she was also targeted, and wasn't just killed because she was with Ali.

To invade another country and then to kill unarmed journalists there because they are reporting on your invasion is so far beyond the pale it's shocking even for Israel.
