Iโm building Beavo ๐ฆซ โ a habit app for calm, consistent progress, atomic habits
โ Most habit apps = endless checklists
โ Beavo = small steps, streaks, and a mindful beaver guide that grows with you.
Iโll share progress, mistakes & lessons

Follow along ๐
@SebastianRoehl@focuskitapp I was going to ask you about this. I saw it was available for macOS, but had the iOS UI. Thank you for keeping updating it ๐ค
Goals: "I want to launch my app"
Systems: "I code 2 hours every morning"
Goals give direction. Systems make progress.
Stop obsessing over the finish line.
Build the daily routine that gets you there.
#habits#systems
Nobody cares about day 1.
Nobody notices day 30.
Everyone sees year 3.
Small daily changes feel pointless. Until they compound into something undeniable.
Trust the process when nobody's watching.
#habits#compound
Most people choose:
Comfort now, struggle later
Easy now, hard later
Fun now, regret later
Choose the opposite:
Discipline now, freedom later
Delayed gratification is a superpower few master.
#discipline#mindset
Everyone wants to be successful.
Everyone wants to be fit.
Everyone wants to build a business.
The difference isn't desire. It's daily systems.
Winners build habits. Losers wait for motivation.

Remember Axen, the custom workout app Iโve been building?
I wanted this clean, techy, glowing look โ futuristic and sharp.
Then I built the actual appโฆ and the colors didnโt match.
Tried forcing the same glow style inside the app โ it looked awful.
So I paused. Looked closer at what Axen really is.
Itโs about clarity, focus, no distractions.
Not โflashyโ, not โpretty for screenshotsโ.
I simplified everything โ flat colors, dark base, one accent tone.
Risky move, but it finally feels like the product.
Sometimes the design finds its truth when you stop trying to impress it.

Do you remember this post?
Well, this is where it ended up. ๐
The new design reflects what Axen is really about โ clarity, focus, and simplicity. ๐๏ธ
No distractions, no noise, just an app that helps you train with intention.
Feels good when the product and the design finally speak the same language.
Launching in a few weeks ๐

Tried migrating a simple HTML template to Next.js with Cursor.
In case youโre wondering if it workedโฆ
It didnโt.
Fonts, colors, layout โ everything broke.
It was supposed to be a small migrationโฆ
now it looks like a new project. ๐

@SebastianRoehl Oh, no! I know your UIs are completely yours
I meant the core logic for allowing or denying users to do specific actions
Eg. access a route, add N objects of something (eg. 5habits), etc
