@BuresFlow@WilbertArenas88 I also feel like his son doesn't want to be coached by his dad.
This isn't youth hockey where parents are asked to volunteer coach.
@lamapass25 This would be ideal
I'd be happy with Verhoeff or Reid if the two forwards are gone.
Reid may have the higher upside, but finding a top pairing defensive defenceman to play on the right side with Buium is paramount.
In almost any other market, Manny coaching Caleb in the NHL wouldn't be a big deal.
The media circus it's going to cause here is a recipe for disaster.

@seyerpa Lol, the media gave him a platform, and then he grifted his followers into thousands only to spend a small portion of it on the banner.
Every media scrum is going to start with, what did your dad tell you coming into this game or did you and your dad talk about your deployment.
@seyerpa@RonaldNHughes@CanucksArmy Sharks not so much, but the Leafs have been missing a 1D since forever ago.
It's always the same thing year after year with them, their defence costs them playoff success. Here's their chance to fix it, but they'll go the offence route again.
@seyerpa@CTVVancouver@DonTaylor5 Giving them support is better than losing them and all the economic benefits they provide to the city and province.
In payroll alone (players and staff), Province of BC makes close to $4M a year in income tax from the team.
@Shill_chain@Simon_Ingari You'd move to a new job for 50K more even if your happy with your current employer?
I've taken pay cuts to get out of jobs I wasn't enjoying. I also turned down opportunities for more money because I was happy where I was.
@FDaniels86 Be in on every single star player who is available and don't be afraid to give up good assets to get them. Don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way.
Fire your coach with one week left in the regular season for that coach bump.
@Nuckology@seyerpa Caleb is great and will probably be a great player, but if Manny never played or coached in Vancouver, it would not be as big of a debate as it is.
