Just cancel your card as I did after many, many years of being a happy customer. American Express has really crumbled. Their service is horrible now. They are cashing in on their name now and cut corners everywhere from what I saw.

When I wrote a letter explaining why I was leaving, cut up my cards and sent them to corporate, I didn’t even receive the courtesy of a response. Good riddance Amex !
