In 2022, the VIDF returned to in-person performances for the first time since March 2020. The 2022 VIDF season offered 31 in-person performances, 10 live-streamed, and 1 hybrid in-person/live-streamed performance.
Who did you see at the 2022 VIDF?
In our 2021-2022 fiscal year, the VIDF celebrated our return to in-person performances by presenting one of our favorite ballet companies, Alonzo King LINES Ballet.

Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Kokoro Dance presented "Reading the Bones" via live stream from @kwstudiosvan as part of the 2021 VIDF.
Reading the Bones was five 64-minute solos performed as an ensemble, each dancer in her unique journey
and a shared group journey.
We only presented 8 of our 31 programmed VIDF performances before performance venues were shut down as a COVID-19 precaution. Kokoro Dance, FakeKnot, and Farouche live-streamed their performances in the fall of 2020 with state-of-the-art equipment from @kwstudiosvan.
The VIDF presented Company 605's "Brimming" as part of its 2021 program. Created and performed by Company 605 Artistic Co-Director Josh Martin.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the VIDF programmed its 2021 season to be live-streamed from @kwstudiosvan to ensure the safest conditions for our artists and audience members.
