First a private jet just for a dress. Now a jewelry with (likely) a history of colonial theft. Either she and her team don't do their research or she's willing to overlook just about anything so she can continue to be everyone's fashion favourite
Margot Robbie wearing the “Taj mahal” necklace is a better comparison cause both are wearing tradition antiques from different cultures without any acknowledgement of that culture also this trend of turning antiques into jewellery for Hollywood celebrities to wear is weird itself

After Jhumka, Maang Tikka is being appropriated by Western brands. Australian designer label Tamara Ralph is calling the ornament “jewel-encrusted headpieces” with “South Asian elegance.” Maang Tikka originated in Ancient India.

inspired by ancient tamplate murti (sculpture). this is so clever btw— the color and shading create the illusion that it's made from washed charcoal denim
Search teams thought a lost hiker was walking through the woods with a dog, until they zoomed in on the footage.
Matthew had been missing for nearly two weeks after leaving camp upset when a group of campers pulled a prank on him, making him believe there were snakes inside his tent.
He walked off angry, trying to cool down, but ended up slipping down a steep slope, hitting his head, and blacking out.
When he woke up, he had no idea where he was. Until he saw a bear cub sniffing his face.
Matthew panicked at first, thinking the mother had to be close, so he backed away and hid. But hours passed, and no adult bear ever came. That’s when he realized the cub had been lost too.
For the next several days, the two wandered through the woods together. Matthew had little survival skill, but enough to keep going for a while. Sometimes he used a sharpened wooden stick to catch fish from a stream, feeding both himself and the cub.
At night, the cub stayed close to him, pressing against him for warmth.
Matthew wasn’t seen at all until drone cameras caught movement deep in the forest. At first, search teams thought he was walking with a dog beside him.
But when they zoomed in, they realized it was a bear cub.
Rescuers finally tracked the footage, found Matthew dehydrated and weak, and airlifted him to the hospital. The cub was safely taken to a wildlife sanctuary.
Matthew said the first thing he wants to do after recovering is visit him.
He went into the woods alone, but somehow survived because another lost soul found him first.
