What is done:
-High-ranking General merit (GM) candidates are compared with lower ranking reserved category candidates (esp SC/ST) & then showing that the interview marks of reserved candidates are lower!

Reality:
1. GM category consists of top rankers. The overall average rank/marks of GM candidates is much higher than other categories (in written exam)!
As you can see in the attached excel too-
GM candidates written exam marks are ranging 901-827 (which is higher than SC/ST (in fact the highest written marks in SC/ST is lower than lowest in GM)
2. GM is followed by OBC (EWS comparable), then SC, then ST (in terms of ranks/marks). Therefore the interview marks will be following the same pattern!
3. For a fair comparison, we need to compare SC/ST candidates (who have qualified under GM),, with GC candidates under GM, that too within same rank-marks range (e.g. we cannot compare a 50 ranker with 500 ranker & then say 500 ranker got lesser marks)!
