Nepal is a much smaller country than Pakistan and it does not have the same money or machines, that is just a fact. But look at these two pictures from the last two days. In flood-hit Rasuwa a Nepal Army helicopter hangs so low over a building sitting in the middle of the river that one soldier can lean out, grab a boy waving his T-shirt from the roof, and pull him in. They did the same for twin children. One life. They went that far. Meanwhile in Islamabad, at PIMS, a spark in the nursery and the oxygen in the incubators did the rest. Fourteen newborns, some only hours old, burned or choked before anyone got the doors open. Families sat on the road for hours. A secretary got suspended, an inquiry started, and then the noise faded. Resources were never the real difference. Priority was. A government that will risk a helicopter for one child is telling you what it thinks a life is worth. Asking why that did not happen here is not politics. It is the least a citizen can do.

I am not impressed with today’s interview of Home Minster in @ekantipur_com. He talks like an agent of police state, though with a tone of defending citizens’ lives n property. He needs to focus on culture of dialogue, positive peace and HR of every individual!May peace prevail🙏
