A false narrative is being propagated by the opposition that several companies have shifted their investments from Tamil Nadu to Andhra Pradesh. The fact is that these investment decisions were finalized in 2025, when the DMK government was in power. Misrepresenting these decisions as recent developments is misleading and intended to create a false perception among the public.

1. Hwaseung Enterprises:*
The investment decision by Hwaseung was not a recent development. At the time, Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Rajaa himself acknowledged the situation and stated that the government would not offer "unrealistic packages" to retain investments. This clearly shows that the matter was being addressed during the DMK government's tenure and cannot be attributed to the current administration.

2. Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield announced its investment in Andhra Pradesh on May 7, at a time when TVK had not even formed a government and ministerial portfolios had not been allocated. More importantly, Royal Enfield CEO B. Govindarajan reiterated that Tamil Nadu continues to rank among the best states in terms of ease of doing business and remains a preferred destination for the company's future growth. The Andhra Pradesh investment was described as part of Royal Enfield's broader de-risking and expansion strategy, not a relocation away from Tamil Nadu.

3. Hindalco (Aditya Birla Group)*
Hindalco's proposed ₹586 crore manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh was announced in November 2025, well before any recent political developments. The decision was part of the company's long-term investment plans and cannot be portrayed as a reaction to the present government.

4. Premier Energies*
Premier Energies' ₹1,700 crore solar manufacturing project in Andhra Pradesh was announced in March 2025. The investment decision predates the current administration and was made when the DMK government was in power.
