Is this your idea of secularism, Mr Khera? Branding Hindu organisations with the most serious allegations while claiming to defend constitutional values?

The RSS has every right to seek permission for lawful activities, just as authorities must assess genuine security concerns fairly. If there is evidence against anyone, present it. Don’t label an entire organisation.

We know Congress has a long history of rhetoric that many Hindus see as hostile to their identity. Hindu society does not need a certificate of patriotism from Congress. Disagree with the RSS, criticise its ideology, but stop treating Hindu organisations as convenient political targets.

Your own party’s record speaks volumes. Your Home Ministers, P. Chidambaram in 2010 and Sushilkumar Shinde in 2013, both invoked the rhetoric of “saffron terrorism” or “Hindu terrorism.”

Perhaps your party’s ideology has nothing to hide, Mr Khera. So explain why this rhetoric keeps returning.
