I got caught confusing EDX with XRD. 😥
"Obviously, the commenter had ignored the Figure's caption and did not read the discussion to understand what the figure depicts. Hence, the commenter mistook the EDX results presented in this work for XRD results, as the commenter referred to an X-ray data booklet as a reference. The caption is clearly “Fig. 1 Micrograph and EDX result (a) VDS biochar (b) MVDS biochar (c) Utilized MVDS biochar”. The EDX in these figures helps to validate the presence of the elements (ions) in the derived materials."

This sort of figures are easily overlooked. Despite of seemingly sharing a x axis, the spectra each sits in its cropped box and are not aligned. Those peaks of interests are not aligned. 10.1007/s10800-021-01619-0
The MOF-5 thermal analysis curves backtracked. Temp doesn't go up and down (as a function of time) in this kind of experiment, right? https://t.co/80Qg8jdgsY
