The Only Reason why Every Political Party takes General Caste people for Granted is because they know that General Caste people won’t hit the Street to perpetrate Violence, Cause Vandalism destroying the Public Property, Conflagrate private Vehicles and will never take law into their own hands.
Even during the Mandal Commission protests boys from General Category self Immolated themselves but didn’t destroy public Property. The Civility,Law Abiding nature of General Category people is being taken for Granted. Better they stop testing the Patience or else at some point of time it is going to erupt in massive anger and Outrage that no one will be able to Control. Section that often remains silent maintaining decorum often create havoc when they are pissed.

I’m someone who vehemently believes in that reservation should 100% exist at UG level.
However - it shouldn’t result in situations like above where reservation in UG/PG is such a clutch that people can clear SS and seats lie vacant.

Reason - Reservation.
Most vacant seats are reserved seats.
There is no reservation in SS.
So when a reserved post of say Med Onc gets vacant - there is NO candidate since reserved category couldn’t clear SS.
