cool how the US is an active participant in the conflict, arms one side, provides troops/military support to one side, sends its envoy (former IDF solider) to demand disarmament of only one side but continues to be painted by US media as a neutral third party simply seeking peace
Beirut is the capital of a separate country. Telling every resident of 14 areas of Beirut to just immediately pick up and leave. Completely deranged, completely illegal. Funded by your tax dollars, with unconditional bipartisan support.
there’s huge competition for the most repulsive gaza coverage but i think CNN describing an IDF soldier running over hundreds of Palestinians as a traumatic episode *for the soldier* has gotta be like top 5
to all my sistas thinking of dressing as sexy cops for halloween, just remember that you’re cosplaying as a LOSER and there’s nothing sexy about that! 🫶🏾
What Ta-Nehisi Coates is doing, using his standing in the liberal mainstream to enter rarefied mainstream spaces to speak out on behalf of Palestinians, even though those spaces will be invariably hostile and even perhaps subsequently foreclosed to him, is incredible
We have a choice to make now. Do we let despair and hopelessness overcome us? Or do we let our outrage galvanize us to work harder to end the death penalty? I hope that you’ll choose action. Choose life. Choose community. That’s how we can honor the memory of Marcellus Williams.
There are no winners with the death penalty. Marcellus’s family members are now victims, too. Missouri is not a safer or better place because of this execution. The actions of state officials and the courts call the legitimacy of the entire legal process into question.
