@niravstoons@khelgyani_abhi Kohli averages 88 in the last 12 months with SR of 106+. I think he still deserves to be there! In last 24 months, average is almost 60 and SR is 97.
Those Bongs virtue-signalling on Garga's arrest.
You should have been vocal when Prof Ambikesh Mahapatra of Jadavpur University was arrested for forwarding an email that had a cartoon satirizing Mamata Banerjee.
You should have raised your voice when Priyanka Sharma, a BJP worker, was arrested and slapped with non-bailable charges for sharing a meme of the then CM.
Where were you when Roddur Roy, Tuhun Mondal, Sharmistha Panoli were arrested for their social media posts?
Please spare us the raging hypocrisy. Learn to accept that subalterns also have a voice, and they have spoken.
Finally read @dharmadispatch's translation of 'Aavarana; The Veil' by SL Bhyrappa ji. What an amazing book that asks uncomfortable questions about history, ideology, identity, and intellectual honesty. I was hooked after reading the first few pages. A must read for every Indian!
But how is Sardesai reporting on Bengal election as a neutral figure? We all know his wife is an MP from one of the parties, journalism me kuch conflict of interest nahi hota kya? Ethics har doosre profession ke liye hi hain?
1. Just got off a call with @UnSubtleDesi. I couldn't be happier for her and both of us couldn't help but discuss the harrowing days of post poll violence in West Bengal in 2021. So I am going to share what happened five years ago just so ppl know what happened. #WestBengal2026.
For every seat BJP has won, they should feature one BJP worker who was killed/molested/maimed in the 2021 post poll violence. Do a full page story. 206 stories of atrocities. Please document this. Let people not forget.
The next 10 years arenβt going to be easy. Whoever becomes the chief minister of bengal, will need a spine of titanium and a steady heart. From infiltration and demographic change to the rot bengal has been pushed into - no infra, no jobs, no industry, nothing, itβll be an uphill task.
As the euphoric day comes to an end, an ocean of fire awaits the new govt in Bengal.
Hereβs a little story about @AmitShah, Bengal and me.
Sometime after 2021 elections, I donβt recall what the occasion was, but there was a media meeting where Amit Shah was present.
I got up and asked him about Bengal and the plight of Hindus. This was the first time I was speaking to him. I had never met him before.
Before I could complete my question, he said, βI know what you went through in Bengal. Sab hoga. Main janta huβ.
A similar meeting happened a couple of years later. I asked and got a similar answer.
This time, I sat down and hid my face because I couldnβt control my tears.
@smitaprakash was there right next to me. No words were needed and she held my hand.
Today, Amit Shah delivered. He said no more. No more. βMain janta hu. Sab hogaβ. Thatβs all. And he delivered today.
