For cans taken from airport why can’t the app state on the screen clearly that the fare includes airport parking charges in big clear letter to stop this harassment.
When you see the bill it written but it should be written clearly on the screen for the driver and the client. To be shown in case of these harassment.

None of the above companies were here to make in India and export to the world.
They were here to take benefit of the 1.4 billion population and sell their product.

This however is not a bad thing we welcome them to sell their offering here.

They brought product made for the western markets hoping they would work but it didn’t.
They were not able to complete with other companies in their segment who are Indian and from other countries as well who came to India with product specifically made for the Indian market with keeping the Indian requirements and affordability in mind.

They got the same playing field and conditions that the other got but could not compete for various reasons.

Let’s take General Motors as an example

They brought cars with absolutely no repair network. Indian road infrastructure needs regular and affordable repair.
Their cars were not even tailored for the Indian market. Fuel economy was terrible. The left hand drive infrastructure was taken and dumped on the right hand side with indicator landing on the wrong side.
Models that were outdated in western markets were launched as upgrades here.
Service and maintenance networks were limited and expensive.
How they managed to stay here for the time they did is a mystery.

Let’s take citi bank as an example.
They ran their business with 1 / 2 branches in the whole city.
Other competitors had branch’s on every corner.
Their service standards were high quality but so was their service charges and the percentage of people who can afford this was very limited.
I remember in early 2004/5 I visited the citi bank branch to collect a form and I had to wait in a meeting room and have a cup of coffee with my relationship manager just to collect a form. Not saying I didn’t enjoy the coffee but all this adds cost and they won’t do it for free. It somehow comes back as charges.
The story is the same with many of these companies.
