Yesterday in our city, during a helmet-checking drive by the traffic police, an officer pushed a motorcycle carrying a woman and her son to stop them, causing the woman to fall and get injured.

Enraged by this, her son grabbed the policeman by the collar.

The police here never stop heavy vehicles; instead, they conduct checks daily just to meet their challan quotas and harass ordinary citizens without reason.

There is no real solution for enforcing traffic rules or managing traffic jams, yet you will find police officers stationed at every intersection holding ticketing machines, solely focused on issuing fines.

To what extent is this justified?
