An American official comes to Indian soil and openly dictates terms to us.

Read this carefully, again and again:

"We’re not going to make the same mistakes that we made with China 20 years ago. We will not allow India's market to grow so large that India can compete with us in the future."

This is not a stray remark. This is US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau stating, in plain terms, that America will limit India’s rise.

And where is our Prime Minister? Silent.

When foreign powers feel confident enough to speak like this in India, it sends a troubling signal - that the leadership in Delhi is unwilling to defend the nation’s interests.
