आज देश के साथ ही गुजरात के लिए भी एक महत्त्वपूर्ण दिन है, जब केंद्रीय कैबिनेट ने अहमदाबाद (सरखेज) – धोलेरा सेमी हाई-स्पीड डबल रेल लाइन परियोजना को मंजूरी दी। यह मोदी जी के देश को कनेक्टिविटी, इनोवेशन और मैन्युफैक्चरिंग हब बनाने के दूरदर्शी विजन का सशक्त प्रमाण है। साथ ही, मेरे लिए भी यह हर्ष का विषय है कि यह परियोजना मेरे संसदीय क्षेत्र से होकर गुजरेगी।

134 किमी लंबी यह रेल लाइन अहमदाबाद को धोलेरा विशेष निवेश क्षेत्र (SIR) और ग्रीनफील्ड इंडस्ट्रियल स्मार्ट सिटी से जोड़ेगी तथा नमो भारत ट्रेनों की कनेक्टिविटी सुनिश्चित करेगी। साथ ही, यह धोलेरा अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे और लोथल राष्ट्रीय समुद्री धरोहर परिसर तक भी सीधी कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करेगी। ₹20,667 करोड़ की यह परियोजना गुजरात को वैश्विक मैन्युफैक्चरिंग और लॉजिस्टिक्स का केंद्र बनाने के साथ-साथ रोजगार सृजन में भी अहम भूमिका निभाएगी।
