Did you know that peacocks and peahens have a Bluetooth kind of connection? Did you know that peacocks and deer have something in common? Read on
First, let me remind you that the general name for these birds is peafowl. Only the male is called a peacock while the female is known as a peahen.
If you check the head of the peahen in this picture, you'll see some straight feathers on her head. They're called the crest. Even though both males and females crest, they serve more than ornamental roles for peahens. It serves as a sensor that picks signals from the male's tail feathers.
When male peacocks rattle their tails to attract females, the female sees the display and feels it in her crest. This helps her pick the best male for mating.
On what they have in common with deer, they both shed what helps them get laid and grow stronger ones in the following season. Remember that deer shed their antlers 🫎 and grow stronger and more-branched ones the following season? The same goes for peacocks. At the end of every mating season, a peacock will undergo a molting process in which it will naturally shed its feathers and regrow them longer and fuller ahead of the following mating season.
Thank you
🛑❗Please, cook ìṣáwùrú thoroughly before eating. Eating them raw or undercooked can lead to severe, potentially fatal health complications.
Apple snails often act as intermediate hosts for rat lungworms. If ingested, the worms can migrate to the brain and central nervous system, causing eosinophilic meningitis.
Liver Flukes and Tapeworms: These snails can carry various parasitic worms (such as Echinostoma), which can infect your gastrointestinal tract and cause severe internal distress.
To prepare them safely, you should
1. Purge the snails by keeping them in a well-ventilated container without food for 1-2 days to empty their intestines.
2. Scrub the shells and remove the intestines/organs before cooking.
3. Boil or cook the meat for several minutes at high temperatures to kill all parasites.
I just saw a video of a Yorùbá (marriage) introduction ceremony. The father of the bride was telling his inlaws that his daughter, the bride to be, is left-handed. He admonished them not to get angry if she gave them something with her left hand. "She wipes her butt with her own right hand and uses the left for honourable things. So, if she gives you something with her left hand, see it as the right hand of everybody else"
It was so heartwarming
There's some form/level of intelligence and bravery you won't know you have until you have some money. Once you no longer need to think of where tomorrow's food will come, you become more daring and make better decisions.
Money is good. Run away from anyone who doesn't like money.
@itsSh0la First I’d give my tithe 10%
Secondly I’d invest 50% in cashflow properties (they’d generate at least 10-20% yearly)
Then I’d buy capital assets for sustaining wealth with 20%
And then I’d give my crush 5% and keep 15% for me and my baby girl lifestyle🤭
It was definitely her idea not to entertain family for more than a week. If it was his own parent that died and his siblings needed a home to stay, the rule may not be revoked.
Rules like this is a blatant red flag. Only evil people make those rules. The silent part of the rule is usually "your family."
