Nagaland’s DIMAPUR is gone
The Nagas who fought for 70 yrs for their indigenous identity as a Naga
I was shocked to hear that a large No Naga girls are marrying Muslims
The population of Muslims in Dimapur has surpassed d locals
Now they are targeting affluent Naga families
Red flags for Nagas writing NPSC/NSSB exams 😏
1. Never passed even prelims stage once but keeps talking about how the whole exam scene is corrupt
2. Stays up calculating the Rs 300 exam fee multiplied by number of candidates writing the exam and where this money is going
An 800-year-old Stave Church in Borgund, Norway, stands as a testament to the transition from the Viking Age, which spanned from around A.D. 790 until the Norman conquest of England in A.D. 1066, to the arrival of Christianity in Norway around A.D. 1000. The rapid spread of Christianity in Norway led to the construction of numerous wooden churches throughout the country, showcasing the Vikings' proficiency in timber craftsmanship, as evidenced by their iconic long ships.
Even today, wood remains the favored building material for Norwegian homes. While wooden churches once dotted northwestern Europe, Norway's unique wooden "stave churches" are the sole survivors. These stave churches, often towering at 85 feet, are constructed entirely from wood without the use of a single nail. At their peak, Norway boasted potentially over a thousand stave churches, with some estimates reaching as high as 2,000.
Regrettably, many of these churches likely vanished during the bubonic plague's devastating impact on Norway's population. Introduced in 1349 by a ship near Bergen, the "Black Death" is believed to have claimed the lives of as much as two-thirds of Norwegians, and it took until the 1600s for the population to recover to its pre-plague levels. During the 1400s and 1500s, no new Norwegian churches were constructed.
Today, only 29 stave churches remain in Norway, with about half still in use for parish worship, while the others serve as museums, occasionally hosting weddings and christenings. They stand as remarkable relics of a bygone era.
