Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was initially against the Metro project. Once she came to power in 2011, her government put the project on hold.

Experts and officials eventually convinced her of its benefits for Chennai. She subsequently went ahead with the project and actively supported its implementation.

In fact, the very last public function she attended was the inauguration of a metro corridor extension.

There is nothing wrong with changing one’s mind.

I don't know who has the ability to convince the Chief Minister about the critical need for Parandur Airport.

The entire future infrastructure for the region has been designed and approvals obtained based on this airport alone.

Without it, we would lag behind by at least 10 years.

If someone with good rapport with the Chief Minister can explain this and convince him, it would be a tremendous contribution to our state.

CMDA must cancel the permission given to 2000 Crore real estate project of Brigade in Ramsar Land!

Its extremely important for the Government to protect the Pallikaranai Ramsar Marsh Forest. We have made a submission at the international level that we wont alter the ecology of the Ramsar land from the designated date which is 08th April 2022. Yet Brigade applied for EC and CMDA Planning permission starting from July 2022 and got the permission in January 2025 in violation of international convention and Wetland Conservation rules 2017 (under Environment Act of India). DMK Government carried out major fraud for this approval which has been well documented by Arappor.

Will the new Government cancel the permission? Arappor has submitted representation to CM. Will action be taken against Sekar Babu and other officials for the fraud and Corruption? Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu CMDA Chennai

Now that investors are confident of continuity and reconfirmed their trust in Tamil Nadu, we need to ensure continuity in new airport also for Chennai.

Parandur airport project should not be stopped. New airport in Chennai, second largest in India, would have huge positive impact on both Chennai and Tamil Nadu.
