Güney Afrika'dan Kuzey Avrupa'daki Finlandiya'ya göç eden bir dişi şahine takip cihazı takıldı. Yolculuk boyunca günde yaklaşık 230 kilometre katetti.

Afrika kıtasında güneyden kuzeye doğru neredeyse düz bir hat izledi. Kuzeydeki çöl bölgesine ulaştığında ise, su bulunmadığı için çölü geçmekten kaçındı. Bunun yerine Sudan ve Mısır üzerinden Nil Nehri'nin güzergâhını takip etti.

Daha sonra Akdeniz'in üzerinden uzun süre uçmaktan kaçındı, Filistin, Lübnan ve Suriye üzerinden ilerledi. Ardından Türkiye'yi geçti. Karadeniz'in üzerinden de uçmamayı tercih etti, çünkü susaması hâlinde deniz suyunu içemeyecekti.

İstanbul Boğazı'nı geçtikten sonra yeniden düz bir rota izleyerek yoluna devam etti ve 42 günün sonunda Finlandiya'ya ulaştı.

Gerçekten hayranlık uyandıran canlılar… Onlara bu içgüdüyü ve yön bulma yeteneğini veren Allah'ın kudreti ne yücedir.
